Is Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki Getting Postponed? Jawan Star Spills The Beans

Shah Rukh Khan has been all over the headlines courtesy of his recent release Jawan. The movie marks his first collaboration with renowned actor Atlee and it has been enjoying a stupendous run at the box office. Needless to say, Shah Rukh is over the moon with the success of Jawan. In fact, the team of Jawan recently organised a special event to celebrate the success of the movie.

During the event, Shah Rukh opened up on how nervous he was about hitting the screens after a gap of three years. Besides, he also addressed the reports of his next film Dunki getting postponed. To note, while Dunki was supposed to release on Christmas 2023, the media reports suggested that the movie has been postponed. However, Shah Rukh cleared the air in his swag and left the audience excited.

"I have not worked for a long time.... maine bahut dino se kaam nahi kia aur har cheez main khushi se leta hu, positively leta hu. Main bhi bahut nervous tha ki maine itne saalon se kaam nahi kiya hai. For me to get back on a set after a period of three years itself was very new. I was feeling very very different. Aur my whole thing was... mere bete ne mujhe kaha, my elder son told me ki "We know when we were growing up that what stardom in the air feels like because your films were big hits". My daughter said, "I know it but this little one knows you are a star, he has never seen it and felt it in the air. So next five films, please work very hard and make him feel it in the air. He'll respect you, he'll love you"," Shah Rukh was quoted saying.

He further emphasised, "And I am not trying to show off, I think Mashallah, God's been very kind we had Pathaan, God has been even kinder with Jawan and I always tell ki 26th January se humne shuruaat ki - Republic Day, it's a good auspicious day, Janmasthami - Krishan ji ke janamdin par humne ye film release ki, abhi naya saal aane wala hai, Christmas hai, usme hum Dunki le kar aayenge. Saare national integration rakhta hu, vaise bhi jab meri film release hoti hai us din to Eid hoti hi hai".

Meanwhile, Jawan has been breaking records at the box office and has managed to become the fastest Hindi movie to cross the Rs 400 crore mark. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Jawan will be raking in a collection of Rs 20.19 crores on day 9 (today) which will take the overall collection of the Atlee directorial to Rs 408.27 crores.
