Sherlyn
Chopra:
After
a
long
break
from
the
limelight,
actor
and
model
Sherlyn
Chopra
is
all
set
to
grace
the
screen
once
again,
this
time
with
the
much-anticipated
web
series,
"Paurashpur
2."
The
show
takes
viewers
on
a
mesmerising
journey
through
the
mystical
realm
of
"Paurashpur," delving
deep
into
themes
of
power
struggles,
political
intrigue,
and
intense
emotions.
Sherlyn
recently
shared
her
terrifying
struggle
with
kidney
failure,
her
road
to
recovery,
and
her
equation
with
her
family.
Sherlyn
Chopra
reveals
she
suffered
kidney
failure
in
2021
In
an
interview
with
Siddharth
Kannan,
the
36-year-old
actor
recounted
her
deep
epiphany
after
reflecting
on
the
difficulties
she
had
to
overcome.
"I
had
kidney
failure
in
2021,
and
I
thought
I
would
die.
Then
I
realised
that
I
had
so
much
more
work
to
do
with
Ekta
ji
(Ekta
Kapoor)
and
that
I
had
to
clinch
some
great
works.
I
made
the
decision
not
to
give
up," she
said.
Further,
she
recalled,
"The
doctor
presented
two
options:
either
dialysis
or
a
kidney
transplant.
However,
my
family
doesn't
love
me
enough
to
donate
a
kidney.
For
dialysis,
I
would
have
had
to
go
to
the
hospital
thrice
a
week,
and
I
didn't
want
that
in
my
life."
"However,
after
three
months
of
taking
medicines,
the
kidney
failure
was
reversed
and
I
thought
I
had
got
another
birth,"
Sherlyn
added.
Shrlyn
Chopra
on
her
sour
relationship
with
her
family
During
the
same
interview,
Sherlyn
opened
up
about
the
additional
emotional
burden
she
went
through
because
of
the
long-standing
isolation
from
her
family.
Talking
about
her
relationship
with
her
family,
Sherlyn
said,
"I
am
no
longer
in
touch
with
any
of
my
family
members.
Although
I
have
my
mother,
sister
and
her
in-laws,
brother
and
a
sister-in-law,
we
haven't
spoken
in
quite
some
time.
I
don't
miss
them."
"I
had
disagreements
with
them
regarding
religion,
culture,
and
profession.
I
was
often
told
not
to
try
to
be
a
star
and
to
behave
like
a
common
person
when
I
met
them.
But
why?
Why
should
I
act
like
a
common
person
when
I
believe
I
am
a
star?
I
disagreed
with
them," the
Red
Swastik
actress
said.
