Helmed by Luv Ranjan, the film will see Shraddha and Ranbir sharing the screen for the first time ever. Talking about the film, helmed by Luv Ranjan, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is a romantic comedy film which will hit the theatres on March 8, 2023. The makers are quite confident about the movie, as a source was quoted as saying to Bollywood Hungama that, "The makers are confident of a healthy opening, though it'll be a working day in several states on March 8. But thanks to considerable hype and youthful appeal, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar can score on the partial holiday on Wednesday. And let's not forget that Women's Day also falls on March 8 and that can further boost the footfalls."

Along with Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in leading roles, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar also stars Dimple Kapadia and Anubhav Singh Bassi. The film also marks the full-fledged acting debut of producer Boney Kapoor. Luv Ranjan is known for his hit films, Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011) and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018).
