Singham Again Goes On The Floors; Shoot Starts With Ajay Devgn And Ranveer Singh

Rohit Shetty's cop universe started with Singham in 2011. The film starred Ajay Devgn in the lead role, and it was a super hit at the box office. In 2015, Rohit and Ajay teamed up again for the sequel to the film titled Singham Returns. After the second part of Singham, Rohit introduced two more cops in his universe, Simmba and Soorayavashi. In Simmba, Akshay's character had a cameo, and in Sooryavanshi, Ranveer and Ajay had cameos.

Now, the team is all set for the third installment of Singham titled Singham Again, and today, the shooting of the film has kickstarted. Ajay took to Twitter to share the pictures from the sets.

He tweeted, "12 years ago, we gave Indian Cinema its biggest cinematic Cop Universe. With all the love we have received over the years, the force got stronger and the Singham family got bigger. Today we come together to take our franchise ahead with Singham Again! #RohitShetty #SinghamAgain."

At the song launch of Cirkus last year, Rohit Shetty announced that Deepika Padukone will be seen as the Lady Singham in the third installment of the franchise. Since then, there have been multiple reports about the film like Kareena Kapoor Khan will also be a part of the film, Deepika will be seen as Ajay's sister, and a recent report also suggested that Arjun Kapoor will be playing the main villain in Singham Again. However, there's no confirmation about any of these reports. Now, the film has gone on the floors, so let's hope we will get a proper announcement about each and everything.

Singham Again is slated to release on 15th August 2024. But, a few days ago, it was announced that Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule will also be released on the same day. So, for now, it is Singham Again vs Pushpa 2 at the box office. It will be interesting to see whether this clash will be averted or not.
