Snehalata Dixit Death: Known for her warm personality, Snehalata Dixit, mother of Bollywood actress, Madhuri Dixit, left for her heavenly abode today, March 12. She was 91. The cause of her death is yet to be revealed, however, Madhuri and her husband, Sriram Nene shared the sad news via a joint statement, that read, "Our beloved Aai, Snehalata Dikshit, passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by her loved ones."

Snehalata's last rites will reportedly be performed at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, today at the Worli crematorium. The sudden demise of Snehlata has left a void and her family members are heartbroken.

Madhuri Dixit shared a very close bond with her mother. She often talked about Snehalata during her interviews as well as in her social media posts. Once during a conversation with Tisca Chopra at Goafest 2022, the actress talked about her initial days in the cinema industry and even revealed how her mother, Snehalata encouraged her to fulfill her dreams.

Last year, Snehalata marked her 90th birthday, on the special occasion the Devdas actress penned an emotional note on social media. Sharing a string of unseen pictures featuring her mother, husband, kids, and her sisters, Madhuri wrote, "Happy Birthday, Aai! They say a mother is a daughter's best friend. They couldn't be any more right. From everything that you've done for me, the lessons that you've taught have been the biggest gift for me from you. I wish you only good health & happiness!"
