SOORAJ PANCHOLI DESCRIBES HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH JIAH KHAN
Speaking to the Hindustan Times in an interview, Sooraj Pancholi shared his feelings about being a free man now and also described his relationship with late Jiah Khan. He said, "You will be shocked to know I only knew her for five months, it was a very short relationship."
He further added that he knew her only for six months, out of which they were in a relationship for five months. Saying that it is very difficult to know what a person is going through in just a span of five months, Sooraj said, "And at that age, I was a little too immature to even understand the magnitude of what she was going through."
"I informed her family that she had tried to commit suicide months before she killed herself, six months before she died," he shared.
He also revealed that Jiah had attempted suicide even before meeting him. He stated, "It was 2012. I had sent for the doctors for her. If I was not present that day, she would have passed away long back."
"I had informed her mother at that time 'aunty, this is what she has done' She wounded herself really bad on her arm with a piece of glass. Her family was in London then, her mother said 'beta you take care of Jiah, I am going to take the next flight'" he said.
Sooraj is the son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab. He made his acting debut with Nikkhil Advani's romantic movie Hero in 2015, opposite Suniel Shetty's daughter, Athiya Shetty. The film was a remake of Subhash Ghai's 1983 blockbuster film of the same name, which starred Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Seshadri.
