Rajkummar Rao & Shraddha Kapoor To Come Together For Stree 2; Horror Comedy To Release In August 2024

Remember Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor's 2018 release Stree? The Amar Kaushik's horror comedy was a massive hit among the audience and the open end of the movie had left the audience eagerly waiting for its sequel. And while there have been endless speculations about Stree sequel, the wait seems to be over now.

After much speculation, Rajkummar Rao has finally announced Stree 2 and also revealed the release date of the movie. The big announcement was made during a recent event wherein it was revealed that Stree 2 will be releasing on August 31 in 2024. For the uninitiated, Stree, which also featured Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee and Pankaj Tripathi, had also hit the screens on the same day in 2018. To note, Stree 2 will mark Shraddha and Rajkummar's second collaboration and the fans can't keep about this much awaited sequel of this popular horror comedy.

Interestingly, Stree marked Shraddha's first attempt in the horror comedy genre and was all praises for Rajkummar Rao. Calling it a dream come true moment to work with Rajkummar and said that she got a lot to learn from him. It will be interesting to see what Rajkummar and Shraddha will be bringing to the table in Stree 2 and who else will be joining their horror comedy.

Talking about the work front, Shraddha was recently seen in Luv Ranjan's romantic comedy Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar with Ranbir Kapoor. There are reports that she will be seen playing the role of a naagin in Nikhil Dwivedi's trilogy. On the other hand, Rajkummar Rao has exciting movies lined up in his kitty which include Mr & Mrs Mahi with Janhvi Kapoor which marks his second project with the Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl actress. Besides, he is also working on the biopic of Srikanth Bolla and Raj & DK's Guns & Gulaabs.
