Bank Withdraws Auction Notice for Sunny Deol's Juhu Villa; Cites 'Technical Glitch'

Sunny Deol's Villa Auction: In a surprising turn, the Bank of Baroda has retracted its auction notice for actor Sunny Deol's lavish villa in the upscale Juhu neighborhood of Mumbai. The bank initiated the auction to recover an outstanding loan of approximately Rs 56 crore lent to the actor.
The initial auction notice was published in a national newspaper on Sunday, August 20, but a subsequent corrigendum was issued on Monday, August 21, stating that the auction notice stands withdrawn due to technical reasons. The property in question, named Sunny Villa, is situated on Gandhigram Road in Juhu and spans an area of 599.44 square meters.
The corrigendum issued by the bank reads, "Corrigendum to E Auction Sale Notice dated 19.08.2023 published in The Times of India Mumbai Edition (Pg.3) dated 20.08.2023 with regards to Sale Notice in respect of Mr. Ajay Sing Deol Alias Mr. Sunny Deol Stands Withdrawn due to Technical Reasons for the below mentioned Property :All That piece and parcel of land bearing Survey No. 41 Hissa No 5 (Pt) CTS No. 173 of Village Juhu Taluka Andheri Mumbai Suburban Dist, Admeasuring 599.44 Sq Mtrs underneath a structure known as Sunny Villa situated at Gandhigram Road Juhu Mumbai 400049. Bearing New Municipal assessment No. 00121047 situated in registration District and Sub district of Mumbai Suburban."
Meanwhile, the auction notice originally included the actor's legal name, Ajay Singh Deol, and highlighted that the villa is named Sunny Villa. The loan particulars were outlined, and Sunny Deol's brother, Bobby Deol (Vijay Singh Deol), their father Dharmendra Singh Deol, and Sunny Deol's company, Sunny Sounds Pvt Ltd, were named as guarantors and corporate guarantors for the borrowed funds from Bank of Baroda.
Sunny Deol's representatives who acknowledged the auction notice on Sunday, had clarified that the mentioned loan amount was inaccurate. "We are actively working to resolve this matter, and it will be addressed. We kindly request refraining from further speculation on the issue," the actor's spokesperson was quoted as saying when contacted by a news portal.
