The actress took to Instagram to share the news with her fans and also update them on her health status. The news sent shock waves to her fans and in the film industry. The Aarya actress shared a picture of her with her father and revealed that she underwent an angioplasty to install a stent.

Now, a latest report suggests that the actress was shooting for a project when she complained of chest pain. As per a report in Times of India, Sushmita Sen was rushed to Mumbai's Nanavati hospital where she underwent the angioplasty procedure on February 27. The actress was later discharged on March 1.

A source reportedly told the website that the Aarya actress suffered discomfort in her chest when she was shooting for one of her projects in the city. She was then examined by a medical professional who was present on the set of the shoot and later the actress was rushed to the hospital.

Reports say that a team of doctors attended her at the Nanavati hospital who recommended the angioplasty procedure. The source also revealed that the non-invasive procedure was performed with a small incision. The actress was kept under observation and was later discharged on March 1. She was feeling perfectly fine.

On Thursday, Sushmita Sen penned a long note which revealed that she suffered a heart attack. The post left her fans and colleagues worried. Along with a picture with her father Subir Sen, the actress wrote, "Angioplasty done...stent in place...and most importantly, my cardiologist reconfirmed 'I do have a big heart'."

The actress further added "Lots of people to thank for their timely aid and constructive action."

Sushmita even thanked her well-wishers in the post: "This post is just to keep you (my well-wishers and loved ones) informed of the good news ...that all is well."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sushmita Sen is currently gearing up for the third season of her critically acclaimed web-series, Aarya.
