Taapsee Pannu In Trouble: Complaint Filed Against Actress For Pairing Laxmi Neckpiece With Bold Outfit

Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu has been accused of hurting religious sentiments, according to a complaint filed by Eklavya Singh Gaur. Gaur, who had previously filed a complaint against comedian Munawar Faruqui, claimed that Pannu wore a revealing dress and a neckpiece with Goddess Laxmi on it, which he found offensive.

The complaint was filed at Chhatri Pura Police Station and was received by the station's SHO. In it, Gaur stated that Pannu's attire was a deliberate attempt to degrade Sanatan Dharma. The incident occurred during the Lakme Fashion Week on March 12 in Mumbai, where Pannu was showcasing the Akshaya Tritiya collection of Reliance Jewels.

CASE AGAINST TAAPSEE PANNU FOR HURTING RELIGIOUS SENTIMENTS

Revealing the same, the SHO of the Police station told ANI, "We received a complaint from Eklavya Gaur (son of BJP MLA Malini Gaur) against actor Taapsee Pannu for hurting religious sentiments and image of 'Sanatan Dharma' by wearing a locket having 'Goddess Laxmi' with revealing dress during ramp walk at Lakme Fashion Week held on March 12 in Mumbai."

According to the complaint, Gaur alleged that the incident was a deliberate attempt to degrade Sanatan Dharma.

Pannu had shared a video of herself wearing the jewellery, saying, "he evening with my princess gown n queen like jewels looked like.... I was enchanted by Reliance Jewels' Akshaya Tritiya collection which is inspired by the majestic Thanjavur."

WHO IS EKLAVYA SINGH GAUR?

Gaur, who is the son of BJP MLA Malini Gaur, had previously filed a complaint against Faruqui on New Year's Day in 2021, leading to the comedian's arrest.

The case against Pannu is now under investigation by the police. Also, the actress hasn't yet reacted to it.
