Tiger 3 Box Office Collection: Salman Khan's Need For A Blockbuster Is Still Pending

Salman Khan is undoubtedly one of the biggest superstars we have in the industry. But, for the past few years, his movies have failed to create a magic at the box office. The actor's last blockbuster was the 2017 release Tiger Zinda Hai, and while everyone thought that with Tiger 3, he will be back with a bang, that has clearly not happened.

Salman's last release Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan which was an Eid release collected Rs. 110.53 crore at the box office. The movie just turned out to be an average grosser and the collection is surely quite less for a Salman Khan movie releasing during Eid.

Before KKBKKJ, Salman was seen in Antim - The Final Truth in which he was seen as a parallel lead with his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma. Though the film received positive reviews, due to the pandemic, it only collected Rs. 39.06 crore which is once again a very less amount for a movie in which Salman played a pivotal role.

Dabangg 3 was expected to do well at the box office and give Salman a blockbuster. But that didn't happen. In fact, the third instalment of the franchise collected less than Dabangg 2 box office box office.

Before Dabangg 3, Salman was seen in Bharat. The Ali Abbas Zafar's directorial received mostly positive reviews and collected Rs. 211.07 crore at the box office. However, it wasn't a blockbuster and was just a semi-hit.

Well, talking about Race 3, the film turned out to be the weakest Race franchise movie. It became a meme fest and just collected Rs. 166.40 crore which was once again quite disappointing.

Meanwhile, Tiger 3 in 11 days has collected around Rs. 249 crore at the domestic box office. The collection has now come to single digits and it is further dropping. So, even a 300 crore looks difficult for the film. According to reports and as mentioned on Wikipedia, the movie is said to be made on a budget of Rs. 300 crore, so of course it will be called a flop at the box office.

Salman is yet to officially announce his next film after Tiger 3. So, let's wait and watch whether he will be able to be back with a bang or not.
