Salman Khan Starrer Tiger 3 – The Weakest Spy Universe Film

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3 which was released on Diwali this year has failed to leave a strong mark at the box office. Even when it comes to reviews, the film has received mixed reviews from the critics as well as the audience is not much happy with the third instalment of the Tiger franchise. Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai were undoubtedly fantastic movies and everyone still praises both the films. However, that has not happened with Tiger 3.

When you take a franchise forward, audience expect that the next instalment of the film will be better than the previous one or at least be at the same level. But, with Tiger 3 that has not happened. Kabir Khan's Ek Tha Tiger was a very good film, and when Ali Abbas Zafar took the franchise forward with Tiger Zinda Hai, the filmmaker surely took the second instalment of the franchise a notch higher. But, Maneesh Sharma has failed to do that with Tiger 3.

YRF has created a Spy Universe with Tiger, Pathaan and Kabir (War). All the films under the universe have received a great response and as Tiger is the first spy of the universe, audience had high expectations from Tiger 3. But clearly, the movie has failed to reach the expectations that audience had.

Even if we look at the box office, Tiger 3 has not done a great business. While at the domestic box office it has crossed the lifetime collection of Ek Tha Tiger (Rs. 198.75 crore), it looks difficult that it will surpass the lifetime collection of Tiger Zinda Hai (Rs. 339.16 crore).

If we talk about the Spy Universe, it looks difficult that Tiger 3 will be able to even surpass the box office collection of War. The Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff starrer had minted Rs. 317.19 crore at the box office in India. Well, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan had collected Rs. 543.05 crore at the ticket windows and that will be a dream for Tiger 3 which will never come true.

So,Tiger 3 has clearly turned out to be a disappointment.
