Right from the trailer to the songs, the upcoming release has managed to keep the cine-goers hooked. The film will see the fresh chemistry of Ranbir and Shraddha, who enjoy an immense fan-following, and it has only added to the anticipation for Luv Ranjan's romantic drama.

At a crucial time, when Bollywood saw two flops in quick succession, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar brings the ray of hope with it. The makers and the trade experts are suggesting a positive trend and are also hoping for the revival of the romantic genre with the film's success. The last movie that saw a footfall in this genre was Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, again helmed by Luv Ranjan.

The advance booking of the film opened on March 5, three days prior to its release. And till Sunday evening, the film had sold 10,700 tickets across major multiplex chains, suggesting a good start at the box-office. Now as per a report in Box Office World, the Ranbir and Shraddha starrer has sold 22000 tickets on Monday by 4 pm. The upcoming release is expected to sell around 70,000-75,000 tickets by the end of tomorrow.

Going by the early trends, the movie is expected to mint approximately 14-16 cr nett on day 1, which can increase or decrease upon the word of mouth and quality of the film. The YRF film has a run time of 2 hours and 40 minutes. Also, the film has opted for 'popular pricing' with morning shows priced around 160 INR and evening shows around 250-300.

Meanwhile, sharing the experience of working with Luv Ranjan, Ranbir Kapoor said that "Director Luv Ranjan has a very different style of working as compared to others; so, it was a very new experience for all of us. We used to be given the script just a few hours before the scene, so we were left with no choice but to channel our inner superheroes and tackle those 5 pages of monologues with all our might."
