Vivek Agnihotri Cannes 2023: A day after taking a sly dig at the celeb's fashion statements at the ongoing 67th Cannes Film Festival, The Kashmir Files fame filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri made another snide remake at the prestigious festival that is being held on the French Riviera.

The filmmaker is known for speaking his unfiltered mind and passing on his opinion on unpleasant matters going on in society. Vivek is quite active on the microblogging site Twitter, where he regularly tweets about things related to Bollywood.

VIVEK AGNIHOTRI REMINDS PEOPLE THAT CANNES IS NOT A FASHION SHOW

On Friday, Agnihotri talked about customs slaves and shared a photo of actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan from her Cannes look. And now, on Saturday, the filmmaker took an indirect jibe at those celebs who are hitting the headlines with their stylish and extravagant outfits at the Cannes red carpet.

Refreshing his followers' attention, Vivek reminded people that Cannes is about films and not a "fashion show." In his earlier tweet, he slammed female assistants who accompany female celebrities on the red carpet.

Many of his followers agreed with him, and Section 375 actress Meera Chopra replied, saying, "Its very sad, I said the same thing when I went there last year.. that it's become a fashion parade. Bollywood only talks about what you are wearing and where all you are being covered in media, to the extent that it becomes stressful. Believe me it's not the same for other countries. They've not gone crazy like us on fashion and pr!"

VIVEK AGNIHOTRI ON 'COSTUME SLAVES'

Sharing Aishwarya Rai's photo from the Cannes red carpet look where a man in a suit was seen adjusting her clothes, Vivek Agnihotri called out the comfortable fashion and wrote, "Have you guys heard of a term called 'costume slaves"?" They are mostly girls (a suited man in this case). You can see them now in India too, with almost every female celeb. Why are we becoming so stupid and oppressive just for such uncomfortable fashion?"
