The
69th
National
Film
Awards
ceremony
held
in
New
Delhi
yesterday
witnessed
a
rather
surprising
moment
between
Karan
Johar
and
Vivek
Agnihotri.
Karan
Johar
was
presented
with
the
coveted
National
Award
(Special
Jury
Award)
for
his
production
film,
Shershaah,
starring
Kiara
Advani
and
Sidharth
Malhotra.
A
video
from
the
award
ceremony
has
surfaced
on
social
media
that
shows
Karan
Johar
making
his
way
to
the
stage
to
receive
the
National
Award.
As
the
camera
pans,
Vivek
Agnihotri
who
was
also
present
in
the
ceremony
for
his
film,
The
Kashmir
Files
can
be
seen
seated
amongst
the
distinguished
guests.
The
video
shows
the
ace
filmmaker
looking
away
from
the
stage
and
also
rolling
his
eyes
at
KJo's
felicitation.
The
video
is
being
widely
circulated
on
social
media.
Check
it
out
here.
Well,
Vivek
Agnihotri's
moment
might
not
have
shocked
many
as
he
has
publically
criticized
Karan
Johar's
approach
towards
films
earlier.
During
an
interview
with
DNA
in
August
this
year,
he
even
accused
KJo
and
Shah
Rukh
Khan
of
damaging
the
cultural
fabric
of
India.
He
said,
"After
the
advent
of
Amitabh
Bachchan
as
a
superstar
-
not
the
one
from
Deewar
but
one
from
Shehanshah
-
the
cinema
after
that
never
told
real
stories.
Especially
Karan
Johar
and
Shah
Rukh
Khan's
cinema,
that
has
actually
damaged
the
cultural
fabric
of
India
in
a
very
disastrous
way.
So,
I
felt
it
was
important
to
tell
real,
honest
stories."
Meanwhile,
Vivek
Agnihotri
who
received
the
Nargis
Dutt
