Suresh Oberoi About Salman Khan: Even though the relationship between Vivek Oberoi and Salman Khan remains strained two decades after the former held a press conference disclosing that the Dabaang star threatened him over 41 calls in one night concerning his alleged relationship with actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Suresh Oberoi, the father of Vivek, says he still maintains a respectful relationship with Salman Khan.
Earlier, Salman had also gone on record to say that he would never forgive Vivek on the Aap Ki Adalat show. However, veteran actor Suresh Oberoi recently, in an interview, opened up about the bond he shares with Salman and his father-writer Salim Khan.

Suresh Oberoi was recently seen in Ranbir Kapoor's starrer Animal. The film has been basking in glory at the box office and turned out to be the year's biggest hit. He recently spoke to Lehren Retro and opened up about several aspects of his life, the industry, and his son, Vivek Oberoi.
Talking about the equation he shares with Salman Khan, with whom his son shares a rift, the veteran actor stated in Hindi, "I was in relief in Vivek's case at that time and now also. Still, we all meet each other very nicely. Whenever Salman Khan meets me, he hides the cigarette and then talks to me as a part of respect."
He stated, "I always tell Vivek to touch Salim ji's feet. I also respect Salim Bhai. Things happened but my relationships are good enough. Jo ho gaya so hogaya nothing personal."

Further, Suresh also revealed that he was clueless about his son Vivek Oberoi's romantic relationships with Aishwarya Rai and told Lehren that it was director Ram Gopal Varma who informed him about their connections.
He said, "Most of the things I didn't even know. Vivek never told me. Ramu (Ram Gopal Varma) told me. Before Ramu, somebody else told me. I had made him understand. Samjhaya tha mat karo (I had told him not to do)."

For the unversed, Vivek and Aishwarya fell in love on the sets of their 2004 film 'Kyun! Ho Gaya Na,' but parted ways soon. They started seeing each other soon after the actress broke up with Salman Khan, which made him angry and led to a rift between Vivek and Khan. However, Aish never openly admitted to the relationship, but Vivek confessed that Salman threatened him because of her.
