Vivek Oberoi Aishwarya Rai Relationship: Vivek Oberoi, whose personal life in early 2000s grabbed major eyeballs, is back in the spotlight as an old video clip of him has resurfaced on social media.

The actor, who was once celebrated as a promising newcomer in the film industry, became embroiled in controversies due to his relationship with Aishwarya Rai, which adversely affected his career.

The old video of Vivek from his appearance on Karan Johar's chat show, Koffee With Karan in 2005 shows him candidly admitting to seeing Aishwarya.

The video features host KJo asking Vivek about his relationship with Aishwarya, which he happily confirms, but when Karan probed further about Aishwarya's silence on the matter, Vivek appeared visibly upset. He said, "I don't think you asked her on the show. Did you ask her on the show?"

The conversation in the video then turns to Vivek's infamous press conference against Salman Khan, which made an impact on his career. Vivek revealed that despite his previous admiration for Salman, he felt compelled to protect his then-partner, Aishwarya.

He said, "I didn't have anything against Salman Khan. In fact, I liked the guy. I thought he was quite interesting when I met him before. But yeah, in terms of the way he behaved and within the framework of my personal life at that time, trying to protect the lady in my life, I did what I thought was right."

While Vivek Oberoi openly accepted his relationship with Aishwarya Rai, the actress always maintained the 'good friend' stance.

Meanwhile, Vivek and Aishwarya's relationship was short-lived. The former Miss World went on to marry Abhishek Bachchan in 2007, and Vivek Oberoi eventually tied the knot with Priyanka Alva Oberoi in October 2010.
