‘Totally Unbearable’: When Gauri Khan Became A Brutal Critic Of Shah Rukh Khan’s Film

New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan share the most 'ideal' relationship with each other in the world of heartbreaks. It all began at a party in 1984, when SRK was just 18 years old, and he first met Gauri and the rest as you say is history! Time and again the couple have expressed their love for each other on social media. While Shah Rukh even credits Gauri for keeping him grounded and being happily in their over three decades long relationship, the couple are very real when it comes to giving goals.

On the show, Karan asked Gauri about how critical she was of SRK's work. Gauri replies, "I don't think I'm over critical at all. In the sense that if he is bad in a film, it's okay. I don't need to praise him even if he's bad. If he's bad, he has to accept the fact that he wasn't good. It's just, I'm an audience and if I feel like he has overacted or if he was not so great, I should tell him".

Talking about the films of SRK which were not up to the standards, Karan takes the name of the 2002 film, Shakti. Gauri quickly replied, "Yes, that was totally unbearable. That was his worst performance in a long time."

Well, that was such a brutal criticism, wasn't it? Such honesty! But again, this is something that modern-day couples mostly lack.

Karan went on to speak about SRK tending to get upset when Gauri critiques his performances. To which Gauri agrees and further adds that, "He does, he needs to deal. See my problem with him is I respect him for his profession and that he's a great actor. He's reached a level where everyone calls him King Khan and he gets great write ups. But my point is that he knows all of that. So he should know something that he does not hear from other people, and I should tell him. Because nobody else is going to tell him, so I feel like I should."
