Mahira
Khan
Old
Video
On
India:
Pakistan's
favourite
superstar,
Mahira
Khan,
is
all
over
the
news
for
her
second
wedding
with
her
long-standing
partner,
businessman
and
DJ
Salim
Karim.
The
couple
tied
the
knot
in
a
private
ceremony,
surrounded
by
their
close
friends
and
family.
Several
photos
and
videos
of
the
happy
bride
and
groom
have
been
doing
the
rounds
on
the
internet.
Meanwhile,
going
down
memory
lane,
we
stumbled
upon
an
old
video
of
the
Raees
actress,
who
once
made
an
anti-India
remark
that
caused
her
troubles
on
this
side
of
the
border.
Let
us
tell
you
that
Mahira
Khan
began
her
career
as
a
VJ
for
a
MTV
Pakistan
show.
She
became
a
household
name
when
she
landed
her
first
TV
show,
Humsafar,
opposite
Fawad
Khan,
and
went
on
to
become
one
of
the
Pakistani
entertainment
industry's
biggest
stars.
But
it
was
in
2017
when
the
stunner
got
recognition
after
grabbing
her
debut
Bollywood
movie
with
King
Khan
Shah
Rukh
Khan
in
Raees.
But
the
debut
wasn't
a
pleasant
one
for
Mahira,
as,
like
many
other
Pak
artists,
she
too
had
to
face
the
consequences
of
the
strained
relationship
between
India
and
the
neighbouring
country.
When
Mahira
Khan
said
Pakistanis
shouldn't
be
inspired
by
India
The
video
dates
back
to
2011,
when
Mahira
Khan
appeared
on
a
chat
show
hosted
by
Pakistani
comedian
Omar
Sharif.
The
Legend
of
Maula
Jatt
actor
can
be
seen
talking
about
her
patriotism
for
her
motherland.
One
can
see
her
snubbing
India
and
Bollywood
while
talking
about
the
Pakistani
film
industry.
Taking
a
dig
at
India
and
Bollywood,
she
had
said,
"Aapko
India
se
inspire
nahi
hona
chahiye.
Bilkul
nahi.
Hum
Bollywood
nahi
hain.
(You
should
not
get
inspired
by
India.
Not
at
all.
We
are
not
Bollywood)." Her
remark
came
when
host
Omar
prompted
that
their
nation
comes
first
for
them
than
anything
else.

For
the
unversed,
Raees
was
released
in
2017,
and
Mahira
had
not
promoted
the
film
in
India
as
the
release
happened
soon
after
the
2016
Uri
attack
that
had
worsened
the
already
strained
Indo-Pak
relations.
Prior
to
the
attack,
several
Pak
artists,
like
Fawad
Khan,
Ali
Zafar,
Sajjal
Ali,
Saba
Qamar,
etc.,
made
heavy
inroads
in
Bollywood.
However,
following
the
attack,
a
blanket
ban
was
put
on
Pakistani
artists
working
in
India.
