Chrisann Pereira Arrested In UAE: According to an official, two men were arrested by Mumbai police on Monday for allegedly cheating 27-year-old actress Chrisann Pereira with the promise of a role in a Hollywood web series.

The accused, identified as Ravi Bobhate and Anthony Paul, sent Pereira for an "audition" in Sharjah city, UAE, where she was later caught in a suspected drugs case. The Mumbai crime branch's Unit 10 sleuths apprehended the duo, who also tricked Pereira's mother, Pramila Pareira, by offering her significant commissions in real estate transactions in Hyderabad.

Pereira has also acted in a web series called Thinkistan. She resides with her family, including her parents and brother, in Borivli.

HOW DID CHRISANN PEREIRA GOT JAILED IN SHARJAH?

In the last week of March, a scammer named Ravi posed as a talent consultant and contacted Pereira's mother, Premila. Ravi informed Pereira that there was an audition for a web series in Sharjah and instructed her to bring a trophy with her. Unbeknownst to Pereira, Ravi had hidden drugs in the trophy which ultimately led to her arrest in Sharjah.

POLICE INVESTIGATION IN CHRISANN PEREIRA DRUGS CASE

Upon investigation, the police discovered that Anthony Paul had a prior altercation with Premila and was seeking revenge. Paul conspired with another individual who posed as Ravi to deceive Pereira. Both suspects have been apprehended by the police, and attempts are being made to repatriate Pereira to India.
