An FIR has been lodged in this connection at Mumbai's Oshiwara police station after his wife accused him of rape and dowry harassment.

Danish's wife has alleged that the singer and his family were threatening her to pay a dowry. As per a report in Free Press Journal, the Mumbai police have confirmed the registration of the FIR and are investigating the matter. A case of rape under section 376; unnatural sex 377; unlawful harassment & unlawful demand498(a), criminal breach of trust 406, 34 of IPC has been lodged against Danish.
