Rohit Bal health update: Popular Indian fashion designer Rohit Bal has been admitted to Medanta Hospital because of a pre-existing cardiac condition. He is said to be critical. The designer has been put on ventilator support, according to a report in a leading daily.
ROHIT BAL ON LIFE SUPPORT
The 62-year-old was rushed to the hospital last week. His friend confirmed that Rohit Bal's pacemaker gave him seven shocks. He was shifted to Medanta after his health condition deteriorated. He is currently on ventilator support as he is said to be critical.
"Bal was rushed to the hospital by model Suraj Dhalia three days ago. His heart was sinking and he was unconscious. His pacemaker gave seven shocks. He was initially taken to Moolchand and when his condition deteriorated, he was rushed to Medanta," his friend told HT City.
The prominent designer underwent an emergency angioplasty in 2010 when he suffered a heart attack. He is said to be suffering from pancreatitis which has turned worse over the past few years, the report added. The designer went to rehab and hospitals for alleged alcohol abuse and health issues, as per a report in Hindustan Times. His team has not released an official statement about his health.
