Women’s Day 2023: Josh Artist Nidhi Dogra Is A Perfect Example Of Hard Work & Determination

The International Women's Day, which is celebrated on March 8, is a day to honour the unconditional love and sacrifices of women. It is day to celebrate women's achievements, recognize challenges and also to talk about gender equality and more. It goes without saying that over the years women have turned out to be the source of immense willpower and hard work. Interestingly, Josh artist Nidhi Dogra is also one such example of hard work and dedication. The 13 year old player of yogasana from Hamirpur has carved a niche for herself not just at national levels but also has several world records to her name.

Popularly known as the rubber doll, Nidhi is the National Brand Ambassador of Yoga World Book of World Records and the brand ambassador of Devbhoomi Him Kala Manch Shimla. To note, she has been practising yogasanas since the age of 8 years and has been trained by her father Shri Shashi Kumar. She practices for around 3-4 hours daily. Interestingly, Nidhi has six world records to her name which include Pranav Asana (47 minutes), Ek Pad Kati Uthishta Asana (50 minutes), 37 asanas in 1 minute on hand stand, 118 different types of asanas in 3 minutes 24 seconds, Chakrasana (27 minutes), Legs on hand stand Also hit the target with 3 arrows in 47 seconds. She also participated in State, National, International Yogasan Games and have been winner in various competitions through online live medium during Corona and also became World Champion in Yogasana competition organized by International Yoga Sports Federation.

Nidhi has also participated in several talent shows including Kisme Kitna Hai Dum Season 4 - 2019 Hosted by DD Punjabi, WINNER (Yoga), Hunner Baaj Himachal Season 2 and 3 - 2019,2021 WINNER (Yoga), Himachal Got Talent Season 2 - 2019, WINNER (Yoga), Winner in Yoga Category in Multi-Talent Show, organized by Himachal Ekta Manch, Kullu, etc. She has also won Best of Best Yoga Player in Himachal Pradesh 2019, U-14 School Games Gold Medal in H.P. (SGFI Rules) and 65th National School Games in Yoga 2019-20.
