70th National Film Awards Full Winners List

70th National Film Awards Full Winners List: The 70th National Film Awards ceremony, originally scheduled for 2023 but delayed due to the pandemic, will take place today (October 8) in New Delhi at Vigyan Bhavan. This prestigious event will honor the best in Indian cinema from films certified between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2022.

The 70th National Film Awards winners, who were announced on August 16, include Nithya Menon, Manasi Parekh, and Rishab Shetty, all of whom received top accolades. The ceremony, starting at 3 PM, will be live-streamed on YouTube via the DD News Channel, with the event kicking off as the winners walk the red carpet before receiving their awards.

WHO WON WHAT AT 70TH NATIONAL FILM AWARDS?

Alongside the major accolades, legendary actor Mithun Chakraborty will be bestowed with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Rishab Shetty will receive the Best Actor award for his outstanding performance in Kantara. The Best Actress honor will be shared by Nithya Menon for her role in Thiruchitrambalam and Manasi Parekh for her portrayal in Kutch Express, recognizing their exceptional contributions to cinema.

Sooraj Barjatya has been recognized as Best Director for Unnchai, and Neena Gupta will be celebrated as Best Supporting Actress for the same film. Additionally, the film Gulmohar has been named Best Hindi Film, and Manoj Bajpayee will receive a special mention for his performance in the same film.

However, there has been controversy surrounding choreographer Jani Master, who was initially set to receive an award for his work in Thiruchitrambalam, but has since been suspended due to ongoing r*pe allegations.
