Ira Khan-Nupur Shikhare haldi ceremony: Actor Aamir Khan and first wife Reena Dutta's daughter, Ira Khan, is getting married to her boyfriend Nupur Shikare on Wednesday, January 3. The two got engaged in Italy last year.

Ahead of the main day, Ira and Nupur's haldi ceremony was celebrated today, January 2, as per Maharatrian customs. Meanwhile, other rituals and preparation are going on in full swing. Aamir Khan's second wife, Kiran Rao, was seen in a lilac-hued saree with mogra in her hair as she arrived for the function. Meanwhile, Reena Dutta opted for a green saree worn in nauvari style. Other guests, too, were decked in traditional Maharashtrian sarees.

Groom-to-be Nupur Shikhare was also spotted with his family and posed for the paparazzi with his soon-to-be mother-in-law, Reena. Nupur Shikhare, on the other hand, looked cool and happy in a red kurta and white pajamas. A day ago, Aamir and Reena's Mumbai houses were lit with lights.

As per the report, Ira and Nupur will host a grand reception in the city after January 10, which will be attended by imminent Bollywood celebrities.

A source was quoted by News18 as saying, "The Khan family is elated as they're going to start the new year with a bang. Ira and Nupur will get married on January 3 at Bandra's plush Taj Lands End hotel. Following that, there will be two reception parties that will take place - one in Delhi and the other in Jaipur - between January 6 and 10."
