Aashiqui Girl Anu Aggarwal Opens Up About Watching Debut Movie After Losing Memory: Nothing Made Sense To Me
Anu Aggarwal on watching Aashiqui after memory loss: Anu Aggarwal rose to fame with her debut film, Aashiqui, in 1990. However, her success was short-lived, as she faced a dramatic turn of events when she became the victim of a severe car accident that not only affected her physical appearance but also caused memory loss.
This tragic incident had a significant impact on her career, leading her to quietly step away from the entertainment industry. Now, Anu Aggarwal shared some personal anecdotes about the accident.

Anu Aggarwal, during a chat with the Indian Express, shared, "I watched the film (Aashiqui) when I had my memory loss after the accident. My mother played it for me, but I couldn't relate with it at all."
"I couldn't relate with the girl on screen! My mother kept saying, 'That's you!' I just like a child kept looking at it, but I couldn't connect. At that time, Aashiqui 2 was out, so she then played that for me. But nothing still made sense to me," she added.
Anu Aggarwal's reaction to her debut film
She further stated how she couldn't relate to the girl on the screen; the actress said that her performance evoked strong feelings in her and added, "I couldn't think the girl on screen was me, but I felt the emotions."
The 5-year-old star then added, "The film had such strong emotions. That's why people still talk about it. At the end of the day, the audience responds to what they see and during the film, they were throwing money on screen, laughing and crying. That happened because the film does move you."
Auu Aggarwal on her comeback
During the same interview, Anu spoke about her comeback in films and stated, "My first bread and butter came from modelling, the entertainment business and then films. I am an actor. I have been away for a very long time, but I am here to act. I have started meeting filmmakers, I am ready and already hearing scripts. I am going to sign something that I like."
Directed by Mahesh Bhatt, Aashiqui, released in 1990, was a hit among the masses. Anu was paired opposite actor Rahul Roy as the male lead.
