Mohini Dey Hartsuch is an Indian Bass player from Kolkata. She plays for A R Rahman and is also a part of Gaan Bangla's Wind of Change & Coke Studio. Besides A R Rahman, Mohini has also collaborated with Jason Richardson, Zakir Hussain, Willow Smith, Sivamani, Jordan Rudess, Marco Minnemann, and Steve Vai.

Almost around the same time when A R Rahman's divorce was announced, his Bassist Mohini Dey posted on her social media that she was getting a divorce too. She wrote, "Dear friends, family, fans, and followers, With a heavy heart, Mark and I announce that we have separated." She added in her post, "First, as a commitment to our friends and family, this is a mutual understanding between us. While we remain great friends, we both have decided that we want different things in life and separation through mutual agreement was the best way to proceed." She then continued to claim that she will be working together with Mark even after the separation.
Mohini wrote, "We will still be working on several projects together including MaMoGi and Mohini Dey groups. We have always prided ourselves on working well together and that will not be stopping any time soon :)" "The big thing we want to wish is love to everyone out there in the world. We appreciate your support in all of the ways you have given it to us. Please honor the decision we have made by being positive towards us at this time and respecting our privacy. We would appreciate no judgements," wrote Mohini.
After bassist Mohini announced her divorce, a user took to a Reddit thread with title "In a separate news, Rahman's bassist announces divorce from her husband" with one commenting "Aap chronology samjiye." Another joked, "Rahman & his team last night in front of the divorce lawyer Vandana Shah."
