Akshay Kumar Suffers Eye Injury Performing Stunt During Housefull 5 Shooting, Here's How It Happened

Akshay Kumar has been one of those Bollywood actors, who is known for doing his own stunts without availing any dummy. However, one of his recent stunts caused him eye injury. Yes, you heard it right! According to a recent report by Hindustan Times, Khiladi Kumar has suffered an eye injury during the shooting of his upcoming comedy drama, Housefull 5, for which he is shooting in Mumbai currently.

According to the source close to the portal, "An object came flying in Akshay's eye while he was doing a stunt. An ophthalmologist was called on the set immediately, who bandaged the eye and asked him to take some rest, while the shoot resumed with the other actors. However, even with the injury, Akshay is determined to join the shoot back soon because the film is in final stages of shoot, and he doesn't want it to get delayed," he revealed.

The comedy drama includes Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh being the constant of the franchise. Other than them, it also includes Abhishek Bachchan, Shreyas Talpade, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chunky Pandey, among others. The latest installement will also include Dino Morea, Johnny Lever, Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Soundarya Sharma, and Sonam Bajwa, among others.

The film went on floors earlier this year, and the shooting started in Europe. The entire cast shot the film on a cruise for 40 days starting from Newcastle, then went on to Spain, Honfleur, Normandy, and other parts, and then went back to Plymouth. Helmed by Tarun Mansukhani, the comedy drama is all set to release on June 6, 2025.
