Exclusive! Akshay Oberoi On His Son's Reaction After Watching Fighter, "He Gave Me A Tight Hug And Said..."

Akshay Oberoi has been busy garnering praises for his performance in Fighter which was released last week. The actor play the role of Squadron Leader Basheer Khan (Bash), and in the second half of the movie, audience is crying because of him. Basheer's character surely gets an emotional angle in the movie, and takes the story forward.

Filmibeat recently interacted with Akshay and when asked him about how his wife and son reacted after watching the film, the actor said, "That's a great question and thanks for asking me this because family is everything for me. Throughout the entire shoot, he would ask me which set I am going to and whenever I said Fighter, he had this big smile on his face. He doesn't know what it means like it's a big Siddharth Anand film, for him it was just that papa is playing an air force pilot. He used to ask me if I have flown a jet."

"So, in the first half he had this big smile on his face, but in the second he suddenly got very sad. I had told him prior that what happens, but when the movie ended he gave me a tight hug and said 'papa that was awesome'. That was the best compliment I have received," he added.

Akshay Oberoi On His Wife's Reacion

Further talking about how his wife reacted after watching Fighter, he said, "My wife Jyoti has been with me throughout my entire acting career. She was crying in the second half like tears were rolling down and when the movie finished, she said 'I am so proud of you; you are an example of what great determination can finally do. You said I will make it and here you are'."

Akshay has been a part of the industry for the past 14 years. He has been a part of some wonderful movies and web series, and now, with his performance in Fighter, he has impressed and all.
