Anurag Kashyap Defends Sandeep Reddy Vanga: Anurag Kashyap recently heaped praises Sandeep Reddy Vanga as he continues to face backlashes for his films like Animal. The diretor also called out the 'toxicity' and 'hypocrisy' around the Bollywood film industry. Earlier, in his interview, Anurag Kashyap called Vanga 'the most misunderstood director'.

Anurag Kashyap Calls Animal Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga 'Honest'

Anurag Kashyap in his latest interview with Zoom TV told about Vanga, "I like the guy (Sandeep). I have no problem with him. Unlike a lot of people in the industry who pretend to be someone they are not, he is honest. The former kind, I think, is even more toxic. But Vanga is an honest man. I don't like anything more than honesty, no matter what others' issues with honesty are. I love talking to him."

When Anurag Kashyap Called Sandeep Reddy Vanga 'Most Misunderstood' And 'Most Judged' Director

Earlier in January when Kashyap met Vanga, he took to Instagram and shared a few pictures with the director and wrote, "Had a great evening with @sandeepreddy.vanga . The most misunderstood, judged and reviled Filmaker at the moment . To me he is the most honest, vulnerable and a lovely human being . And I really don't give a f""" what any one thinks of him or his film. I wanted to meet the man and I had questions and he answered every thing I asked of him about his film that I actually saw twice . Thank you for being patient and being yourself(sic)."

He continued, "40'days since i first saw ANIMAL and 22 days since I saw it the second time . The biggest game changer of Hindi cinema in the longest time and a film whose impact (good or bad) which can't be denied . And the filmmaker who takes it all on his chin . Great evening spent with him (sic)."
