Why Didn't Shah Rukh Khan Attend Baba Siddique Funeral: In a shocking turn of events, former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot dead outside his son Zeeshan's office on Dussehra evening (12th October 2024). Following the shooting incident, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the murder of the 66-year-old politician. Baba Siddique's funeral ceremony was held on Sunday (October 13). He was buried with full state honours at the Bada Qabrastan in Mumbai. Salman Khan, Pooja Bhatt, Shilpa Shetty and Maniesh Paul among other Bollywood celebs visited Baba Siddique's residence to pay their last respects.

However, Shah Rukh Khan's absence from Baba Siddique's funeral grabbed a lot of eyeballs. For those unversed, SRK shared a very close bond with the late politician.

According to a r report published by Times Now, Shah Rukh Khan chose not to attend the funeral to "safeguard himself from political debates" allegedly as he didn't want his named to be dragged in the case.

A source informed the portal, "Shah Rukh Khan doesn't want to get associated in the politician's murder case. The case is also related to Salman Khan and King Khan, for that matter, wishes to stay away from this! Knowing how Lawrence Bishnoi's circuit works, Shah Rukh Khan doesn't want any harm on him anymore. Hence, he has chosen 'disappearance' in the entire matter by skipping Baba Siddique's funeral who was a close friend to him."

For those unversed, late Baba Siddique played a huge role in ending SRK-Salman's famous cold-war. The two Khans got into a huge fight in 2008 at Katrina Kaif's birthday. In 2013, Baba Siddique reunited them at his grand Iftaar party.
