Baba Siddique's Murder Was Planned 10 Days After Firing At Salman Khan's House: Report
Baba Siddique, a close friend of Salman Khan, was murdered by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, revealing a chilling plot linked to threats against Khan. This incident has left a profound impact on Khan and those close to Siddique.

Salman Khan's friend, Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister, was tragically murdered near his son's office. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the killing and had also threatened Salman Khan. Sources disclosed that the plan to assassinate Siddique was devised 10 days after shots were fired outside Khan's Mumbai residence.
The Mumbai Police Crime Branch revealed that the plot against Baba Siddique was formulated shortly after the shooting incident at Salman Khan's Bandra home on April 14, 2024. The gang allegedly targeted individuals close to Khan, with Siddique being a primary target. Two men on motorbikes had fired multiple rounds outside Khan's residence during that time.
Details of the Plot
Investigations uncovered that the gang used an illegal telephone exchange system known as "Dabba Calling" to coordinate their murder plan. Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence Bishnoi's brother, reportedly used this system to relay instructions. The lead shooter, Shiv Kumar Gautam, lingered at the crime scene for 20 minutes post-attack, leaving behind his weapon and identification before blending into the crowd.
After confirming Siddique's death at Lilavati Hospital later that night, Gautam discarded his mobile phone to avoid police tracking. This meticulous planning highlighted the gang's determination and resourcefulness in executing their plans without leaving traces.
Impact on Salman Khan
Zeeshan Siddique, Baba Siddique's son, shared in an interview with BBC Hindi about Salman Khan's emotional response to his father's death. "Salman bhai was very upset after Baba Siddique's murder. Dad and Salman bhai were close, like real brothers. After dad's death, bhai supported a lot," he said. Khan frequently checks in on Zeeshan and offers him support during sleepless nights.
Salman Khan was among the first to visit Baba Siddique at the hospital following his demise and appeared visibly emotional at his funeral. His family members also paid their respects at Siddique’s residence.
This tragic event has left a significant impact on both Salman Khan and those close to Baba Siddique, highlighting the ongoing threats faced by public figures in India.
