Bangladeshi Adult Star Riya Barde Arrested In India for Illegal Stay; Authorities Probe Family's Involvement

Adult Star Riya Barde Arrested: In a recent development, adult film star Riya Barde, known in the industry by her aliases Arohi Barde and Banna Sheikh, has been arrested by the Maharashtra Police for illegally residing in India. According to a News 18 report, Riya is allegedly a Bangladeshi national who had been living in India with her family using forged documents. Authorities are also searching for her family members in connection with the case.
Riya Barde was arrested from Ulhasnagar, a city in the Thane district of Maharashtra. The case against her was registered under several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including Sections 420 (cheating), 465 (forgery), 468 (forgery for the purpose of cheating), 479 (property marking), 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention), and 14A of the Foreigners Act. These serious charges reflect the magnitude of the crime as Riya Barde had allegedly been living in India based on fraudulent documentation.
The matter was brought to light by one of Riya Barde's acquaintances, identified as Prashant Mishra, who reported to the police that Riya was staying in India illegally. Following his complaint, authorities launched an investigation and closely examined Riya Barde's documents, which ultimately led to her arrest.
The police have identified other members of Riya Barde's family involved in the case, including her mother Anjali Barde, also known as Ruby Sheikh, her father Arvind Barde, brother Ravindra alias Riyaz Sheikh, and sister Ritu alias Moni Sheikh. According to the details of the case, Riya's mother is originally from Bangladesh but married Arvind Barde, a resident of Maharashtra. She is suspected of forging documents to present herself as an Indian citizen.
Currently, Riya's parents are reported to be residing in Qatar. This isn't Riya Barde's first brush with the law; she had previously been arrested in connection with a prostitution-related case. The investigation is ongoing, with the police determined to take further legal action against those involved in the case.
