Exclusive! Vidya Balan On Doing The Dirty Picture 2, "I Am More Than Excited To Do Something Risque, But..."

Vidya Balan is currently enjoying the super success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The film has entered the 200 crore club, and it is sustaining well at the box office. Well, Vidya has been in the industry for nearly two decades, and apart from Manjulika, there's one more character of her that will be remembered in the history of Indian cinema. We are talking Silk, a character she played in the blockbuster movie The Dirty Picture.

The Dirty Picture was released in 2011, and it was a biopic on South siren, Silk Smitha. Vidya clearly gave her career's best performance in the film and also won a National Award for it.

Last year, there were reports that The Dirty Picture 2 is being made, and the makers are considering Taapsee Pannu or Kriti Sanon for the movie. While the movie was never officially announced, audiences were excited about it.

Filmibeat recently interacted with Vidya Balan, and when asked her whether she would like to do The Dirty Picture 2 if the makers approached her, the actress said, "It all depends on the script, story, and so many things. If I feel compel to do it, I will do it. I am more than happy, more than excited to do something risque because it is been a while since I did something like that. But, I can't decide just like that 'okay I want to do The Dirty Picture 2'. It has to be exciting for me."

While Vidya had done multiple films before The Dirty Picture, the Milan Luthria directorial surely gave her career a boost, and people had started calling her the female Khan of the industry. The movie had collected Rs. 80 crore at the box office, and it was a huge amount for a female centric movie.

Talking about Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 box office collection, the film in 15 days has collected around Rs. 220 crore which is excellent. It will be interesting to see whether it will show a big jump during the third weekend or not.
