Bobby Deol Birthday: The Ups And Downs Of The Actor And How He Is Successfully Reviving His Career In 50s

Bobby Deol is undoubtedly one of the most popular actors we have in Bollywood. The actor celebrates his 55th birthday today and has been in the industry for around three decades now. He started his career as a lead with the 1995 release Barsaat which was a hit at the box office. Till now, the songs of Barsaat are loved by one and all, and it had got the cult status. After his debut, Bobby gave starred in many hit and memorable films like Gupt, Soldier, Badal, Humraaz, and others.

But, like every actor, Bobby aso faced a downfall where there were multiple films that failed to make a mark at the box office. While he did get some hits in between like Yamla Pagla Deewana, Yamla Pagla Deewana 2, and Housefull 4, none of them gave his career a boost.

However, OTT came into limelight and Bobby got a chance to prove that just like his father, Dharmendra, and brother, Sunny Deol, he is also undubtedly one of the most talented Deols that we have. In 2020, during the pandemic, his two projects came on OTT. A film titled Class of 83 and a web series titled Aashram.

Aashram surely gave Bobby's career a much-needed boost, and then there was no looking back for him. Baba Nirala has become an iconic character and we have to give Bobby credit for it as he performed the role amazing. In 2022, we got to see him in one more film Love Hostel which was released on OTT. He was so good in it that people started demanding a spin off on his character Viraj Singh Dagar.

Now, if we talk about the 2023, we all know that with just a 15-minute role in Animal, he got a storm in theatres. Bobby as Abrar Haque was excellent, and everyone, who watched the film couldn't stop praising him. With Animal, he proved that he is an actor who doesn't need a lead role to prove his mettle and leave a strong mark.

Well, even 2024 seems to be a very exciting year for Bobby. He has moved his ways towards South and has one big Tamil and one big Telugu film lined up. The actor will be seen as the antagonist in Suriya starrer Tamil film Kanguva and has Pawan Kalyan starrer Telugu movie Hari Hara Veera Mallu also lined up. Both the movies will be getting a pan-India release.

The first look poster of Bobby from Kanguva was released today, and it has been getting a fantastic response. The actor's menacing look has grabbed everyone's attention. Clearly, after entering his 50s, Bobby has successfully revived his career.
