Border 2: Varun Dhawan Joins Sunny Deol Starrer Epic War Film, "Look Forward To Bring Valiant Jawaan’s Story"

Border 2: Varun Dhawan has got a special surprise for his fans on Friday afternoon as he announced his involvement in the upcoming war film, Border 2. Sharing the announcement, VD has also shared a note on this and revealed how ecstatic he is joining the cast. Furthermore, he shared a long note.

Varun Dhawan took to Instagram to share a note while confirming him joining the cast with a video. He reminisced how he was in class 4 when when he went to the cinemas and witnessed Border 2. He wrote, "I was just a kid in class four when I went to Chandan cinema and saw Border. And it made such a big impact. I still remember the sense of national pride we all felt in the hall."

He added, "I began looking up to our armed forces and to this day, I salute how they protect us and keep us safe be it on our borders or during natural calamities."

"J P Dutta sir's war epic remains one of my most favourite movies to this day.To play a part in Border 2 produced by J P sir and Bhushan Kumar is a very, very special moment in my career. And I get to work with Sunny Paaji my hero makes it all the more special," he wrote extending gratitude on the same.

He concluded the note saying, "I look forward to bring a valiant jawaan's story to screen in what promises to be India's biggest war film," while adding "I seek your good wishes, Jai Hind."

Border 2 is the sequel of Border, which was released in 1997 and directed by J.P. Dutta. Bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Kishan Kumar, and J.P. Dutta, the film will be directed by Anurag Singh and will be released by Janurary 23, 2026.
