Baba Siddique Shot Dead: As the nation was taken over by the festive vibe of Vijay Dashmi, the entertainment industry shook to bits as Baba Siddique has been shot dead in Mumbai. The renowned Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Salman Khan's close friend was reportedly shot upon by three unknown assailants outside his son Zeeshan Siddique's office in Bandra east. While he was rushed to the Lilavati Hospital, the recent reports suggested that Baba Siddique had succumbed to his injuries.

Baba Siddique Shot Dead: What Exactly Happened?

The news of Baba Siddique's demise was confirmed by the hospital officials. According to media reports, a police official has confirmed that around 2-3 rounds were fired at Baba Siddique. It is reported that Baba was attacked while he was leaving Zeeshan's office in Nirmal Nagar. As he sat inside the car, the assailants opened fire at him. While the probe in the matter is underway, two suspects have reportedly been detained from the spot. In fact, one of the suspects was reportedly caught with two guns with loaded magazines. The news of Baba Siddique's being shot dead has certainly left the nation shocked.

Who Is Baba Siddique?

In a conversation with NDTV, NCP Spokesperson Brijmohan Shrivastav emphasised that Baba Siddique had not spoken about any threats of late. For the uninitiated, Baba Siddique has been a three time MLA from Bandra West. He was associated with Congress for 48 years before he joined NCP in February this year. Besides he had also served as a Minister of State for Food & Civil Supplies, Labour and FDA.

On the other hand, Baba Siddique was also know for hosting extravagant parties especially the Iftar bash during Ramadan.
