Indian cinema has proved their groundbreaking storylines are worth the great achievement. The another revelation claims one Indian film has officially been selected to screen under Un Certain Regard category. Sandhya Suri directed Santosh will be screening at Cannes 2024 under Un Certain Regard category. The storyline of the movie spins around a newly widowed woman Santosh. She gets the job of a police constable in place of her husband. Santhosh gets involved in the process of the investigation as she discovers a dead body of a girl.

Syed Maisam Ali Shah's In Retreat is a feature film that will be screened under ACID section at Cannes 2024. The film explores the theme of belonging and home. The movie is about a man who returns to his hometown after several years and explores the deeper understanding of human condition.

Sunflowers Were The First To Know is a movie made by FTII students. The short film has been selected to screen under La Cinef category at Cannes 2024. The movie is about a woman who steals rooster from the village, causing chaos in the community.
8. Kooki

Assam's Hindi film Kooki is 116 minute feature film. The movie revolves around a 16-year-old rape survivor whose dreamy future gets destroyed by the incident. She gets scarred for lifetime when court's verdict against the culprits does not make her feel being served justice.
