Recently, rumours spread life wildfire that the 2012 hit film 'Cocktail' is all set to have its sequel as Maddock Films is planning to revive the Cocktail legacy with a brand new cast.

Lately, reports of a sequel to Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty-starrer 'Cocktail' (2012) have been doing rounds on the internet. While some of the reports claimed that producer Maddock Films were planning to bring Shahid Kapoor on board for Saif's role in the sequel, a couple of reports mentioned Kartik Aaryan's name for the part 2.

As per the reports surfacing online, name of young actresses like Ananya Panday and Sara Ali Khan were being discussed for the female lead roles.

Cocktail 2 Fact Check: Truth Behind Cocktail Sequel Reports

While fans were excited for Cocktail 2 and were expressing their interest for the sequel. Turns out, the reports are FALSE! According to Times Now, producer Dinesh Vijan is NOT interested to interest to make Cocktail sequel after 12 years.

Dismissing the ongoing reports, a source told the portal, "There is no Cocktail sequel with Shahid or Kartik. In fact, there is no cocktail. Producer Dinesh Vijan has no interest in returning to a 12-year old hit which now looks dated. One doesn't even know where this rumour came from. Because Cocktail 2 is not even a project under consideration."
