De De Pyaar De 2 Cast Updates: Ajay Devgn starrer 'De De Pyaar De' sequel is finally happening, leaving fans excited. Earlier in March this year, the makers announced the much-anticipated sequel to Devgn's 2019 blockbuster co-starring Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh. De De Pyaar De 2, directed by Anshul Sharma and produced by T-Series and Luv Ranjan - is scheduled to hit cinemas on 1st May 2025.

Ajay Devgn is all set to reprise his role as a 50-something middle aged NRI named Ashish. However, Rakul Preet Singh will be seen in the sequel, it's saif that Tabu won't be returning.

Previously, it was reported that Anil Kapoor joined the dynamic cast of De De Pyaar 2, piquing everyone's curiosity. However, the Big Boss OTT 3 host later walked out of the project. As per reports, the makers roped in R Madhavan in the project.

According to HT, R Madhavan has replaced Anil Kapoor as Rakul's father in De De Pyaar De 2.

"Madhavan will play Rakul's father in De De Pyaar De 2. The plot of the film is on the lines that the hilarious one-upmanship will happen between Ajay and Madhavan on the lines that Rakul is dating a man older than her father's age in the film. With Anil, that plotline wouldn't have had the desired impact, but now with Madhavan essaying the role, it fits the narrative aptly," a source close to the development informed the portal.

As per reports, De De Pyaar De 2 is expected to go on floors this month in London.
