Exclusive! Deepak Tijori On Why He Didn't Cast Any Female Stars In Tipppsy, "There Were A Lot Of Conditions"

Deepak Tijori's Tipppsy has hit the big screens today. The film stars Deepak himself along with five actresses, Sonia Birje, Alankrita Sahai, Kainaat Arora, Nazia Hussain, and Natasha Suri. It revolves around an all girls trip to Goa which goes wrong, and how they all end up in a murder mystery. While some of the actresses are popular faces, none of them is a superstar.

Filmibeat recently interacted with Deepak and when asked him why he didn't cast any female superstar in his movie, the actor-filmmaker said, "I did that hard work earlier; I had done that exercise. But, I think I realised, there were a lot of things that were coming in conditions like 'agar yeh hai toh main hoon, agar yeh nahi hai toh main nahi hoon, aur agar yeh hai toh main nahi hoon' (if she is there then I am there, if she is not there then I am not there, and if she is there then I am not there). When all these things started coming in front of me, I decided to stop and I came to know that it's impossible for me to go further with that."

"So, immediately, I changed the whole scenario, and got girls who were not going to be having those kind of attitude and tantrums. Eventually, whatever happens, happens for the best, and I am blessed that I worked with these girls." he added.

He also revealed that initially many people had scared him about making a film with five actresses. When asked him how difficult was to get five actresses together in a movie, he said, "It depends upon the people you are working with. Initially, people had scared me. But, the script that I had written, I felt that these actresses will become friends."

Well, let's see whether Tipppsy will create any buzz at the box office or not.
