A recent reddit post claimed that the actress indeed rejected the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial, Baiju Bawra and White Lotus, the critically acclaimed 6-parts HBO series, for her pregnancy as the dates were clashing with her maternity leave. The reddit post further claimed that she doesn't intend to have nannies for her baby. It reads, "A very close friend of the Kalki actress, who is now on maternity leave, reveals, "Ever since I know Deepika, she wanted to be a mother. Deepika loves children. She bonds with them instinctively. You can be sure there will be no nannys or nanas to look after her child when it is born.""

The post went on to say, "I don't think Deepika would even let Ranveer share her parental chores. She will be a hundred percent hands-on mother."
