Did My Features Just Get Rejected?’ Kusha Kapila Recalls Time Her Face Was Rejected After Audition- EXCLUSIVE

Rejection as they say is a part of life and the same is true when it comes to the acting world. With lakhs of people visiting the 'sapno ki nagri' Mumbai in the hope to find their big break, the competition to fit into one character drastically increases. With insiders and outsiders struggling to find the best role in their careers, rejection becomes inevitable. Talking about the same, actress Kusha Kapila narrates the time her face was rejected in an audition.

In a conversation with Sakshi Shivdasani and Naina Bhan for their podcast, Moments of Silence, Kusha Kapila talked about the difference between actor and influencer life stating how as an actor, everyone is constantly looking for a decent role whereas as an influencer, you are in control of what you want and what you make.

Further discussing the auditioning process, Kusha recalled the time when her face got rejected after an audition and narrated, "I recently auditioned my face, just to get my makeup done by somebody really famous and they rejected my face. My face was rejected! So I had to give my side, I had to give my front side and other sides and they shared a very professional video with nice beautiful white lights and I said, I cannot do all of that, I will stand in the center because people know what my face looks like by now. So I did the audition and they went silent on me for two days and then later mentioned that they have decided to go with the model. And I was like 'Did my features just get rejected?'"

Elaborating that rejection is a part of acting, Kusha concluded, "I think rejection is a huge part of acting especially if you have not yet made it. I have auditioned for everything I have starred in, I am still giving auditions, I recently got rejected, I didn't even hear back from them. This is what you get used to."
