Exclusive! Dil Bechara 2: Is A Sequel To Sushant Singh Rajput Starrer Being Made? Mukesh Chhabra Reveals

Dil Bechara 2: Mukesh Chhabra is one of the most famous casting directors in India. He has done casting for many blockbutser movies like Dangal, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, recently released Amar Singh Chamkila and more. He made his directorial debut with Dil Bechara which was Sushant Singh Rajput's last film, and was released on Disney+ Hotstar for free after his demise in 2020.

Earlier this year, a post on X about Dil Bechara 2 had gone viral, and it was speculated that Mukesh is making a sequel to his directorial debut. Filmibeat recently interacted with him and spoke to him about his next directorial.

When asked him which will be his second film as a director, Mukesh said, "That is going to be your headline. The thing that you are waiting for, I won't tell you (laughs). I am waiting for everything to be finalised, then it is better to speak about it. There's a process and a lot of work is going on, and then we will finalise things. But, definitely, I want to start my second film very soon."

Is Dil Bechara 2 Happening?

When asked him if it will be Dil Bechara 2, the casting director turned filmmaker said, "No, it won't be titled Dil Bechara 2, it will be something else because there are a lot of emotions attached with that movie. We are all very emotional about that film and Sushant. So, we won't title it as Dil Bechara 2. I want to keep the love and respect for that film separately."

Well, Mukesh Chhabra is currently busy garnering praises for his casting in Imtiaz Ali's Amar Singh Chamkila. The movie started streaming on Netflix a few weeks ago, and it is getting a great response. Everyone is praising the performances of Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra, and the songs of the film have become a rage.
