Emergency Trailer Release Date Announced: Bollywood actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut is finally gearing up for the release of her upcoming movie 'Emergency'. Directed, co-produced by and headlined by the BJP-MP, the movie stars Kangana as former Prime Minister of India - Indira Gandhi.

When Will Kangana Ranaut's Emergency Trailer Release?

Emergency, based on the darkest chapter of Indian democracy when an Emergency was declared by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1975, stars Kangana Ranaut along with Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, late Satish Kaushik, Shreyas Talpade and Mahima Chaudhry in important roles.

On Monday (August 12), Ranaut took to Instagram and shared a new poster of the film along with the trailer release date. The trailer of the upcoming biographical political-drama will be dropped on 14th August 2024.

Announcing the same, the actress wrote, "Witness the Darkest Times of Democratic Indian History & the lust For Power that almost burned down the Nation! #KanganaRanaut's #EmergencyTrailer out on 14th August. The Explosive Saga of The Darkest Chapter of Indian Democracy"

Emergency Release Date

Previously, Kangana Ranaut's 'Emergency' was scheduled to release in theatres in 2023 but got pushed to June 2024. However, the film got delayed once again due to Kangana's political campaigns in Lok Sabha 2024.

After facing multiple delays, the film is now set to hit cinemas worldwide on 6th September 2024.

More About Kangana Ranaut's Emergency

Co-produced by Kangana under her banner Manikarnika Films, the movie chronicles one of India's post-Independence History - spanning from 1975-1977 - when PM Indira Gandhi had declared a nationwide state of emergency.

Sharing a couple of pictures from sets, Kangana earlier revealed that she had to mortgage all her property to make sure the film was complete. She stated, "My film was stopped. I made this film by mortgaging my house and jewellery."
