Emmys 2024: Vir Das becomes the first Indian to become the host of the prestigious International award show that celebrates the art, science, and technology in the television world, Emmys. Yes, you heard it right, the stand-up comedian is roped in to host the 2024 International Emmy Awards which is set to take place in November 25 in New York City. And naturally, celebrities are pouring in their best wishes as the news is shared.

Taking to Instagram, Vir Das shared a post announcing the joyous news with his fans. He shared the screenshot of an article, and wrote in the caption, "Thanks to your support, an Indian Emmy Host 🇮🇳🙏 I can't wait to host the @iemmys this year! Crazy. Thank you for having me. Tremendously honoured and excited!"

After the post went viral, Bollywood celebrities have congratulated the stand-up comedian. Hrithik Roshan wrote, "Wow. That's amazing. Very well done 👏" Popular Bollywood celeb stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania wrote, "Unstoppable you! ❤️❤️" Koel Puri wrote, "This is HU-aaaage. According to Hollywood Reporter, the stand-up comedian said, "I am so happy to be hosting the International Emmys. It's a massive and prestigious night to honor creators from around the world who are making some of the best content," said Vir Das in a statement. "I know first-hand how it can be life-changing," he added.
