Actor Vijay Sethupathi, who most recently featured in a negative role in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer "Jawan," will next be seen as a lead in Sriram Raghavan's highly anticipated "Merry Christmas," where he stars opposite Katrina Kaif. Sethupathi, in a recent interaction during the promotion of his film, said he has fun when he gets to play villainous characters. "I enjoy villain roles. In real life, I can't kill anybody, I get a chance to do it (in films). I can express that wholeheartedly... On screen, you can express and play with emotions, it's fun. Please don't think bad about me. Expressions are like food and taste, and I want to have all the taste," the actor said, responding to a query by PTI at a press conference for "Merry Christmas."

Producer Ektaa R Kapoor and her actor-brother Tusshar Kapoor are reuniting for an upcoming project titled "Dus June Ki Raat." The series, which will be released on Jio Cinema and ALT Balaji, will also feature actor Priyanka Chahar Choudhary. “It Begins #favshow #Jai Mata Di," Ektaa wrote alongside a picture of the clapperboard. The show is being directed by Tabrez Khan. "Dus June Ki Raat" will be produced by Sachin Mohite under the banner of Jaasvand Entertainment and co-produced by Ektaa Kapoor.

During the press conference, Katrina Kaif opened up about the challenges she faced while performing her scenes in Tamil for Merry Christmas. She said, “That for us was a big challenge. The kind of scenes, the nature of the scenes, and performing those scenes in Tamil is a challenge because obviously, that’s a completely different language for me. But both the films have come out beautifully. I am very proud to be a part of both films. Can’t wait to share it with the audience.”

Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani says he is thrilled to foray into the streaming space with a series that will feature "12th Fail" star Vikrant Massey. The 61-year-old director said the show will be available on Disney+Hotstar. "I'm doing an OTT show, which we actually start shooting this month. I'm a showrunner for that, I'm not directing it. It's a show for Hotstar (Disney+ Hotstar) and Vikrant Massey is playing a role in it. It's something I'm very happy about with the script and the way it has panned out. On this show, I’m really involved, and it’s in my own space,” Hirani told PTI in a virtual interview. Hirani further stated that he has a couple of feature ideas that he wants to develop next. "Luckily, COVID-19 gave us the time to sit at home and work on more scripts. I'm working on more scripts now in a month or so and we'll start deciding where we will go,” he said.
