Filmmaker Hansal Mehta and actor Pratik Gandhi have reunited for the third time for a web series after Scam 1992 and Baai. The filming of the show began today, January 19. Titled 'Gandhi’’, the show will be based on the life of Mahatma Gandhi. Backed by Applause Entertainment, the web show is based on historian and author Ramachandra Guha’s two books, 'Gandhi before India' and 'Gandhi: The Years that Changed the World'. The news was shared on Instagram with a series of pictures and the caption, "Capturing history in the making! #Gandhi filming now (sic)."

The prequel series to Chris Pratt's "The Terminal List" is officially moving forward at streaming service Prime Video. Titled "The Terminal List: Dark Wolf," the new series will focus on Ben Edwards and James Reece, the characters played by Taylor Kitsch and Chris Pratt, respectively, in the 2022 show. Prime Video shared the news on Instagram and said the show will soon begin production. "From the Producers of #TheTerminalList and NYT Bestselling author @jackcarrusa–introducing THE TERMINAL LIST: DARK WOLF, a prequel series featuring Ben Edwards and James Reece. Production begins early this year," the streamer posted alongside a poster of the new series. The prequel will take viewers on Edwards’s journey from Navy SEAL to CIA paramilitary operator, exploring the darker side of warfare and the human cost that comes with it. Prime Video also renewed "The Terminal List" for season two, which will be based on Jack Carr's bestselling novel "True Believer". "The Terminal List", created by David DiGilio, followed Pratt's James Reece, a Navy SEAL who seeks to avenge the murder of his family. It also featured Constance Wu, Riley Keough, Arlo Mertz, and Jeanne Tripplehorn. The show is a co-production from Amazon Studios and Civic Center Media, in association with MRC Television. The spin-off will be co-created by Carr and season one creator/showrunner David DiGilio.

The supernatural thriller will release in theatres on March 8, 2024. Ajay Devgn shared the film's poster on social media and revealed the title of the next. The post read, "#Shaitaan is coming for you. Taking over cinemas on 8th March 2024."

Days following the accusation of her film, Annapoorni, for causing offense to Hindu sentiments, Nayanthara has issued an apology. Late on Thursday night, the actress took to her Instagram account to release a statement in response to the controversy that ensued after the film's release on Netflix. Nayanthara clarified that neither she nor her team had any intention of hurting anyone's sentiments. This statement comes in the aftermath of reports indicating the registration of an FIR against the film, leading to its removal from the Netflix platform. “In our sincere attempt to share a positive message, we may have inadvertently caused hurt. We did not expect the removal of a censored film, previously showcased in theatres, from the OTT platform. My team and I never intended to hurt anyone’s sentiments and we understand that the gravity of this issue. Being someone who wholely believes in God and frequently visits temples accross the country, it is the last thing I would intentionally do. To those whose feelings we’ve touched, I extend my sincere and heartfelt apologies,” she said.

Katrina Kaif, who is making headlines for her recent release Merry Christmas with Vijay Sethupathi, has opened up about working with director Sriram Raghavan and told News18 Showsha, "He is going to make you tell him what you feel in the scene and how will the character react to the situations that she is in. He makes you search for honesty. So, working on Merry Christmas was extremely rewarding and challenging at the same time. It was such an intense process, but a wonderful one"
