As fans have been praying for Mithun Chakraborty's health, his Shastri co-star Debashree Roy confirmed that he is out of ICU and is recovering well. She told Times Now, "I met Mithunda in the hospital. He is better now, he was taken to hospital in time and yes, his sugar levels had gone down. He was feeling quite uneasy. But now he is out of the ICU and recuperating in a room."

During a recent interview with Zoon, Kiran Rao opened up on how the failure of Laal Singh Chaddha affected Aamir Khan which was his 'dream project'. She said, "It's a risk we take and honestly I think that's one of the reasons we have formulaic films, that people just follow the formula, ‘Action films are working let's only do action’ or crime, thriller, romantic comedy, whatever it is it just becomes a safety sort of net for people who don't want to take that risk of failing".

According to a report published in Sacnilk, TBMAUJ minted Rs 9.25 crores on second day of release which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 15.95 crores
