Entertainment Live Updates: Kangana Ranaut On IC184 The Kandahar Hijack Controversy
Kangana Ranaut recently attended the News18 India Chaupal event in New Delhi, where she addressed the criticism surrounding her upcoming film Emergency. Originally slated for a September 6 release, the film’s premiere was delayed due to pending certification from the CBFC. During the event, Kangana also commented on the controversy surrounding the newly released series IC184: The Kandahar Hijack. She expressed her views, calling the censor board "redundant" and emphasized the urgent need for censorship regulations, particularly for content on OTT platforms. “Censor board is a redundant body today. I raised this during the previous parliament session also. The kind of content is being shown on OTT or on YouTube, we are scared that a child might see it. It is a matter of great concern. We argue so much with the censor board – ‘Why have you shown this blood’ and all. I feel we need to rethink. OTT needs censorship first,” Kangana said.
